FAQ

Great to hear. We are happy to help you figure out which type of music lesson suits you or your child best. For advice, it is best to contact us by email.

You can sign up very easily through our own booking platform, called Mijn Music on the Block. Through a short form, we ask you to leave a few details so that after your registration we can immediately look concretely at how to fit this into the schedule.

Yes, absolutely. We schedule the first lesson as an introductory lesson by default, without any further obligations. For a trial lesson, we charge the regular rate.

You can choose from different lesson options. Check our rates here.

At Music on the Block we offer season passes and flex packages. The season pass is a subscription of 36 lessons per year, on a fixed day and time, during a school year. The flex package is a pre-paid package of 5 lessons, which you can then schedule with the teacher by appointment.

Payment is made via iDEAL/Wero or by bank transfer.

You can pay a fixed amount per quarter (9 lessons) or per month (3 lessons). Our invoicing starts on 15 August and is sent to you on the 15th of every month or every three months. Choosing a flex package? Then you pay for 5 lessons, which you can then schedule with the teacher by appointment.

Music on the Block follows the school holidays of your region. These are also shown in your annual schedule. No lessons take place during school holidays. The school holidays are already included in the fixed amounts of the season package.

If you are ill, it is appreciated if this is reported to the teacher 24 hours in advance. Our teachers are flexible and, if it happens only occasionally, will do their best to schedule a catch-up lesson if this is logistically possible. When this is not possible, the lesson will still be charged.

Teachers are sometimes on tour or ill for a period. For that reason, we work with 3 catch-up weeks at the end of the year. Lessons missed by the teacher are automatically placed in those catch-up weeks.

Both children and adults can sign up for music lessons. For children, the minimum age is in principle 8 years old. In consultation, lessons can start at a younger age.

There can be different reasons to stop music lessons temporarily or permanently, and we would like to communicate about this as openly as possible. If your time slot cannot immediately be taken over by someone else, we apply a notice period of 3 months from the moment of cancellation.

Yes. General terms and conditions apply to our music lessons.
